HEY EVERYBODY...
MY MAN GOT LOCKED UP AGAIN ON THE 17TH OF NOV. FOR A STUPID PROB. VIOLATION (I THINK IT WAS HIS 2ND) PLUS 2 MISDEMEANORS OF PETTY THEFT AND A FELONY OF REC/STOLEN PROP..... HE ALREADY DID HIS 30 COUNTY DAYS FOR THE CHARGES MENTIONED ABOVE AND IN ADDITION TO THAT, HE WAS SENTENCED 16 MO'S IN STATE PRISON. SO HE HAS BEEN @WASCO SINCE THE 23RD OF DEC. :( NOW, HE HAS A TOTAL OF LIKE 230 DAYS THAT THE JUDGE ORDERED WOULD BE CREDITED TO HIS PRISON TERM AND MAJORITY OF PPL HAVE BROKE IT DOWN TO ME LIKE THIS......:
16 mo's = 480 days -----> automatic 10 mo's = 300 days
total of 230 county days TIME SERVED applied to that leaves 70 days
he's been there since 12/23 and today is 01/09 which is 17 days of that
leaving him a total of around 53 days

:confused: AND ALSO, HOW DO U SEND MONEY UP 2 THEM?..CAN U EVEN DO THAT?

I AM SOOOOOO LOVESICK AND MISSING MY BABY THAT IT GETS HARD TO FUNCTION SOMETIME AND I SWEAR TO U EVERYBODY HAS LIKE THEIR OWN CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE SYSTEM AND EACH DIFFERENT ONE CONFUSES THE HECK OUT OF ME......:eek:

Let me try to answer a few of these for you to the best of my knowledge

DOES THAT SOUND ABOUT RIGHT??? Honestly I'm not sure about this one.If he does get the time served that sounds about right but again I am not sure

AND ALSO, HOW DO U SEND MONEY UP 2 THEM?..CAN U EVEN DO THAT? You can send money orders made out to them (Their name and CDC #)

IS IT EVEN WORTH IT FOR HIM TO SEND ME FORMS FOR VISITATION? Yes I'd say it is always worth it just incase he is in longer then expected

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MAIL TO GET UP THERE?..AND ARE U

Mail takes at least a week and a half I'd say.It all depends on the prison some are much faster then others.At some times mail can take 4 weeks or longer if they are backed up in the mail room.You can send next day,priority etc but it has been my experience that while it gets to the prison faster it doesn't necessarily get to teh inmate faster once at the mail room.

HOW WILL THEY BE RELEASED? FROM UP-STATE?? WHERE RELEASED??? It depends on what level of custody.Mine was released from The SHU which is a max or high level so he was transported home by parole after first being transfered to a prison closer to home.Generally I believe they are released if someone is there to pick them up or they are given a ride to the bus station.

ARE THEY REALLY GIVEN CASH UPON RELEASE?????? Yes you can send his parole clothes 30 days before release with DRESS OUT written on the box,they generally get $200 "gate money" upon release

HOW ON EARTH IS ONE ABLE TO SEND INMATE(S) A MESSAGE???.....No messages just mail unless it is a real emergency then you can contact his counseler to give him a message.

hey everybody...well i just got news from my baby that he has actually been in chino this whole time. and now i am freaking out cos i have sent i'd say a total of like 36 letters to wasco since dec. 25th including a money order and i dont even know what the HELL the situation is like in there now since this stabbing incident......god, this shit is really stressing me out. it's like i have absolutely NO idea what kind of condition he is in....the one fricken letter i got so far details that he is completely miserable in there. that he is mad they got him locked up in there...that he don't know why they put him in "this shithole" and he is really getting anxious and wants to get out....but the big problem is that he has been given NO TIME FRAME WHATSOEVER as to his release date and he feels like he is screwed...and i can only imagine what type of a lockdown there is in chino right now and he said that his yard was already on 24lockdown and this was PRIOR to the stabbing........grrrrrrrr!! is he even gonna get his mail? is this stabbing gonna effect his release date? when r they supposed to get the release date??? why is all of this happening??.......... :( i am so sad these last 4 days since i read his last letter i dont know what to do with myself....and to top it all off, i lost my job and nearly severed my left thumb off........i'm not doing to good. i need some help please :(

I have a question for anyone wat level is wasco prison and also how long do you think an inmate will do his term until transfered to a lower level prison closer to home?

i just found out my fiance was in wasco prison i don't have a clue on how much time he's getting and how i can visit him or if their are any requirement to do so??? i really scared it's his first time in prison and he said before that he signed 18 months but that he was only getting 8 or 9... i was also wondering if i can sent him pix with me and his son or do they have to be one and one (not in groups)???:( :( :cry:

You can send pictures with more than one person in them. Make sure you put his CDC# and name on the back of the picture. Your fiance will need to send you the visiting form with his signature and CDC# on it and then you will need to mail it back to the visiting department. Here is the visiting dept address:

Only approved visitors can go to visiting. So anyone that wants to visit will have to complete a visiting form. My husband sent me like 30 forms. It takes about 2-4 weeks to be approved and they will notify your fiance when your approved and then he will have to mail you the approval form. My form was approved within 2 weeks. Hope this helps.

Once you are approved to visit, you can take the baby with you. You need to bring his "state certified" birth certificate with you. It cannot be a copy. Also, while your fiance is in reception, visits are for only an hour and they are behind glass. Good luck!!:)

well i can tell you just as much as i know. first off how long has he been there. usually when they get there they in reception first and that means no phone calls but he can send and receive mail. you should call the prison to get his number and location. 661-758-8400. as for visits, in reception its behind glass. once they see their counselor, they will determine his yard level and where he will go. he may not even stay at wasco. if he does then he may get to have contact visits which are saturdays and sundays and major holidays. he will need to send you the form and you send it back. once it is processed it will be his responsibility to let you know if you are approved or not. my husband is level 3 for now and we have contact visits all day. processing starts at 8am and visits end at 2:45. they pretty cool there most of the time. once you get approved your man should send you the approval form and it tells you all the rules and dos and donts, cans and cants. you can take your son with you and the form will tell you what you can take in for him. you will need his birth certificate, offial, the first time you go. they keep the record in the computer so you wont have to take anymore. if i were you i would call the prison first and then send him a letter. you may also want to send him some stamps and envelopes as well. good luck and we're here whenever you need us. :) dolores

hi...i have a question..my bf was moved to wasco today from county jail...but he's supposed to be moved to CRC (California rehabilation center). does anyone know how long it takes for them to get transferred? and what are the rules for visiting and the inmates making phone calls at the CRC?
