OK-I've been so busy that I'm just now getting around to asking for all your help. My fiance' had a pick date of 2/05 and I call the automated system and it now says his TPM is 2/05 so I assume that means that his pick was approved.
Now we are in the waiting stage. He is trying to parole out to his mother in SC and she has not been contacted yet to verify his address. Does anyone have any experience with transfers between GA and SC?
I have seen that these transfers can take awhile but that seems to be more so for states that are not bordering states.
Does anyone have any suggesions as to who I could call to get a typical time frame? One friend of mine said to call the dept of corrections and they were no help.
I'm sure you all can understand our impatience and I'm just hoping for a glimmer of light.
Thanks

I wish I knew too! My boyfriend is paroling out to his moms address in TN, and he was suppose to have as PIC month of Dec. 04, and his counsler says that paperwork is what is holding him up. If you don't mind me asking when was his orignal TPM? Atleast you have that confirmation that his TPM has changed, I wish I did. Good luck!

My fiance was going to parole back to our home in Wisconsin but they told him it could take up to 3-6 months longer for him to be released so he paroled out to his father's house in Georgia and was released 1 month after his TPM. That's why I moved back down here. They also told him after her had paroled out that transferring to WI, his chances would be slim to none because he has 2 felonies.

I would suggest calling the Interstate Compact office. The phone numbers are: 404-656-4763
404-651-6526
404-651-6533
404-657-6385
This is where I started. The lady I spoke with was very helpful. Will and I are just begining this process of trying to get all our ducks in a row so he can transfer when he gets out in March, 2006. We are waiting for his counselor to request the paperwork from the compact office so Will can sign it. Then it gets faxed back to the compact office. Then it gets sent over to Will's conviction county(where he will probation out to). TTTHHHEENNN the paper work will be sent to the county where Will wants to move to in Mississippi. They will approve or deny. TTTTHHHHHEEEENNNN the paper work is sent back to Georgia. Gosh! Can you believe it only takes about six months to do all this? :p But knowing Georgia and Mississippi that is why we are starting this more than a year in advance. LOL! Hope the info helps. :)

I wasn't aware they could even parole out to another state, that's good information to have.

I am nervous about Charlie being able to get interstate to Nwe York. He has no one to parole out to in Georgia.Anyone know what will happen then? I dont know ihow he will take it if he has to wait longer.

The whole reason that my fiance' is paroling to SC is that he doesn't have anyone in GA. We are all in SC. I'm also hoping that it helps that he did his probation here.

Ok my dad did the instate compact and let me explain what happen. First his couslor ask him when the parole board needed his address so the counslor put in Florida they then told me we needed to put $25.00 in his account for the interstate sometimes its free but it better to be safe then sorry then the counslor gave my daddy a copy my dad did his paperwork with the counslor in Feb. but his parole summons came in Aug. so Atlanta sent the paperwork to the capital of Florida then they have to approve it thats when the parole officer came out and then that takes two weeks then they get a date my dad had suppose to got out in December but he got out yesterday Jan.12,2005 Thank You Lord now I'm waiting on my booand he goes to the tran. center and he sent me the paperwork for marriage now I need H.E.L.P.
