Hi. Been months since I've been here. I started a thread about six months ago called. "Parole Is Do-able". I still feel the same way. I'm still doing it . Getting closer to 2007 all the time. It's great to say Happy New Year and really mean it!! I had ten years to walk off out here and I'm down to two and a half. I just stopped buy to offer to help with any questions that anybody might have. I don't proclaim to be an expert, but after ten years inside and and almost eight outside---well-- like the song goes. I know a little 'bout it.

Congrats! Glad things are going well with your parole! My guy has only got one month below his belt but so far so good,he is finding that it really is do-able as you said!

Happy New Year to you NeverAgain!! I love the name!! Of course parole is do-able but I would guess that depends on what you go in for. Like, for example, it seems if you go in for drug charges, it's not so do-able because far too often the addict relapses so he violates, often catching another charge. I would also figure for the one who sells the drugs, many times he returns to that and then winds back up in prison. Anything other than that, I would think parole should be do-able.

It's my guess then that you were not in for drugs, so good for you on that account because it seems if you get knocked for drugs at twenty -- from being in and out come twent years later when you're in you're 40's you're still in the same spot -- "on the in[side]".

Anyhow, I appreciate your opening yourself up to questions because I do have mine. I'll come back around but I did want to stop in and say God bless you for getting and staying on track. Many men say they hate being incarcerated yet come out and return to the very lifestyle that got them incarcerated in the first place. Sounds like when you were in and expressed your strong dislike for being in prison that you put your money where your mouth is when you got out. Good for you. Peace.

I am so glad that you are doing well. So proud of you. We are currently waiting word on my husbands parole decision. But what ever happens is God's will not ours. Stay strong and I am sure you will be able to help alot of people out in here.

I need help! My man keeps going back to jail for parole violation. It is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid! He owes his time to New York State. He has no more family in New York. His mother died and all of his family is in Philadelphia. I am pregnant by him and he is also about to have a baby in Philadelphia. Last time he got out of jail, he asked New York to please transfer his parole to Philadelphia, but they wouldn't do it. He moved anyways, and it finally caught up to him. This time around he will owe New York 4 months. I told him to find a program or shelter etc. for those 4 months. He says "no way", he is going to stay with me and his baby in Philadelphia. Anyways, I need help on parole transfers bad! He shouldn't keep going back to jail for nothing! His last charge was in 1996.
