Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I can find prision penpals to write to. I'm looking for a guy to write to thats preferably in Qld, aged under 30.

Thanks

That's a good question...

I think Kyla will have the answer to this one.

To be completely honest I am not 100% sure myself. I will look into it and get back to you :)

Long shot guess... ask NSW Prisoner Aid, they might know a NSW penpals list. Worth a try anyway.

Gucci
There is a penpal section here on PTO. Though I dont believe they have any Australian penpals, they have thousands of men in the USA looking for people to correspond with. Perhaps you would like to write to someone in the US, and compare stories, etc. Just a thought ;)

Hi Gucci, try the following ex-prisoner organisations Sisters Inside (Qld) Prisoners legal Service (Qld) Catholic Prison Ministery (Qld) or Justice Action (NSW) they might help. cheers Oz ex-prisoner

I've been asked to take in drugs for inmates - even those who arent drug users. It happens.

Hi Chezza
What do you actually mean by this? I dont understand the question.
OR...did you mean you have a letter you want someone to do something with?
Sorry I didnt understand your question.
OR... did you mean you want a penpal in Sydney that is not a drug user?

Taking drugs into a prison is a huge no no. If someone is suggesting that to you, I understand how you would feel. It can cause stand overs, and get you in alot of trouble.

hey
My bro is on remand in Vic and often says its so sad how many of his "friends" don't get letters ..... :( If you private message me your details and what you are looking for in a penpal (age ect) I could send it to him and Im sure he would be able to find you some decent guys to corraspond with, who would be very grateful ....
