Okay, my fellow PTO'ers. I'm planning to marry my Hunny Bunny next year (after the divorce becomes final with the X), probably during the summertime. I'm at a loss as to what song I would like to have as a theme song for our wedding. We're both pretty simple people and aren't planning on having a big wedding. My fantasy to get married in Vegas is OUT, because we can't afford it. I want to do something casual, at the beach with people who are most important in our lives to attend.

But there's ONE THING that I MUST HAVE and that is a song that expresses how much we love each other, how we've gone through many challenges (including the horrific period of his arrest, conviction, incarceration and the hellhole that the both of us lived in while apart). But in the end, love overcomes all and that we're stronger now to boot.

I've posted it here in the Hawaii forum because I'm willing to entertain ANY local songs that meet the above criteria. I'll also consider songs from any other genre of music, but would like to keep it local. As a matter of fact, I think that would be the best choice because my guy has grown to love the local style music here as much as I. Thank you in advance for your help, folks. I sure do appreciate it.

Here's a few:
Your side ~ by SADE ( Lover's Rock CD) (you think I'd leave your side baby...you know me better then that....)

Youre still the one ~ by Shania Twain ( ...they said I bet, they'll never make it, but just look at us holding on, we're still together, still going strong....)

At Last ~ Etta James (At Last my love has come along, my lonely days are over.....)

Spend my Life with you ~ Eric Benet & Tamia(...can I tell god and the world I'm your my woman, and your my man.....can I just spend my life with you....)

Mahalo for your responses. I'll check out Ekolu's song. And I love the song "At Last" by Etta James. Celine Dion does a version of it but I like Etta's a little better. And I LOVE Shania Twain's song "Still The One", particularly that line that you quoted. I drive my bosses nuts singing that song at work...heck, I drive them nuts SINGING :)
