Now that he might be moved very shortly....can any one answer this? Wasco has yet to receive my application for visitation..It was sent a month ago. They said that their system was down for 2 weeks. But what if he gets moved and we havent been approved yet? Does the application follow him or will we have to wait for him to get mainlined and have him send us new forms? If he goes somewhere new than I highly doubt they <at wasco> will inform him that we have been approved?

Once approved at one you should be good at all Ca. prisons but I ran into a problem when my guy was transfered to a different prison for court and they said I had to fill out another app. That could have been because he was only there for a little while though.

you're lucky. down yonder in oklahoma i have always had to wait until he was transfered, then met with his new case manager to get the apps. then for them to send them to me. then there is all the time they take to run the stupid checks! they really don't care how long it takes for them to see their family!!!!!!!!!! (sorry, it just makes me so mad even having to think about it) And why can they not contact YOU to let YOU know when you have finally been approved? that would be nice wouldn't it?

Im hoping that it will just follow him,Id think that it would be such a hassel not only on the family to have to fill out new apps but for the prison as well. I was just concerned because if he moves before I get approved then how will they let him know that I have been approved?

They ALWAYS know where he is. It should follow him but if it does not, the ONLY thing that you can do is fill out another one and send it in to them. You are now at the California Department of Corrections party and they make ALL the rules! And all you can do is follow them and try not to drive yourself crazy in the process!

Coulter,

I just had that problem. My husband was in Tracy Reception Center and I filled out a visitation form, they moved him last week and because he was not told rather I was approved or not I had to fill out another one, just sent it off today. But once you are approved it does follow.

Blessings,
