New Years, staying in and staying sober-- How about you, what are your plans???
Just curious... This New Years, I'm staying in and planned some fun activities for the kids. We're gonna order pizza and play games, etc. I got them some party hats and noise makers. It should be fun. It will be alot different from the years past! What are your New Years plans? Be safe...

Yana, my plans are identical as yours. Do you think that it could be, because we have something in common. Yes New Years is a lot different than what it use to be...I like these better.

My boyfriend and I will be visiting a friends house this New Year's Eve. We will be having a pizza party for all of our kids.

Since Dick Clark is in the hospital I've been stood up for my regular New Year's date. I will watch South Park and bring in the new year with cartoon characters.

Hi, everyone, I also will be staying home and staying sober. I did go buy myself 2 quarts of natural ice ! But I decided to save that for some other day. Just me and my kids tonight, and I like it that way. I'm sick of partying every holiday anyhow. We are going to watch the ball drop at midnight on T.V. And we are going to bring in the new year quiet and happy !
Happy New Year to All !!!!!!!!!! Peace Sonya

I was going to go out and have fun but after my conversation with my hubby I had decided that I didn't want to go out and party hard because I am a wifey and I just didn't want to cause drama with my hubby over getting drunk and having fun even though he said I should, when I know deep inside he wasn't! So tonight when he called I told him that I was just having a night at home with the baby and just watch tv and I was like "baby are ya happy I am staying home" and he goes "yes, now i can sleep tonight without worrying what you are doing". I love my hubby too much. So tonight when the ball drops I will be with my hubby (he told me to watch it b.c it will be like we are together watching it dropped) I just wished I could get some kisses but oh well :( maybe next year I'll get lucky!

This will be my 21rst New Year celebration as a clean and sober person!!

Now I just look at New Years, Labor Day and the Superbowl weekends as amature nights. Not a single reason to go out and get drunk with the rest of the idiots!!

Much safer and happier and funner (is that a word) at home, sober and welcoming in a brand new year!!!

That is exactly what I was planning on doing!!!

My husband and I both celebrated sober. We babysat for my brother and his girlfriend while they went to a party. Unfortunately the 2 year old didn't make it til midnight - he crashed about 10:30. So we watched the countdown on TV, kissed at midnight, and went to bed about 12:30. I couldn't imagine ringing in the new year any other way! :D

Hi All,

Happy New Year's. Been sober 12 years. Throughout everything I've been through in life, nothing beats sobriety.

Best,
