Hey boys and girls, just got back from visiting HDSP. Some new things happening out there. The mail going in to the guys is WAAAYYYY slow. Jim heard that the regulars in the mailroom are on vacation, so things are really screwed up. Seems some of the outgoing mail sits around in there for 3-4 days before hitting Indian Springs then L.V. The oncoming is super slow being handed out- he hasn't received any from me in almost 2 weeks, and I write EVERY day. Also, it's been mangled, folded, stapled and skewered, with pages missing. Not a good thing to F*** with the U.S. Mail! :blah:
Incoming visitors are now being patted down which is a hassle, but less invasive than what you get at the airport.

UGH!! Well hon I am glad you made it back ok. Sorry to hear about the mail screwing up so badly!! But - you didn't say one thing....well ok two or three....

LOL!!! O.K., more info you want? The visiting time was shorter than "advertised". They said from 11:30- 4:30 Sunday and 7:30-11:30 on Monday. By the time the 2 officers in charge of visiting schlepped on down at 11:30 or 7:30, and trust me, there will be NO paperwork processed before it's time, it cut an hour off the visit. Now bear in mind that the amount of time has already been cut back from 6 hrs. to 4. But the COs in the visiting room were VERY nice. Except for one gal who had been down below processing people through, and "The Q", you may know who I mean, she came through and started throwing her weight around climbin' on some of us for the slightest little thing.
OH! And one OTHER thing- I got engaged! No date set, just when he gets cut loose. I've waited a LONG time for him to be back in my life, and now, it's like my wildest dream has come true. :D

Yes I noticed when I was there, the person who was signing us in was extremly slow. He sat and talked to visiters and flirted with the young girls and ignored those who were waiting. It took us like a hour to get in to visit and we were the only ones waiting to go in. The visiting room wasnt even full. I am glad you had a nice visit and sorry to hear it got cut short. But it looks like CONGRATS are due to you. Happy to hear things are going well for you.

Thanks for the congrats and best wishes, guys! Soli, he is eligible for parole 11/4/06. Pray he makes it 1st time up. LOL! I sure am!!!!
