My soon to be husband is looking at going back for 18 months on a parole violation. Does anyone know if they are offering any deals for violators? He has heard some rumors that they are offering a 6 month deal. Has anyone heard, or in a similar situation? he has been violated for getting more charges, which he may have to serve some time over, but we aren't for sure yet, we are waiting for one of many court dates. If anyone is in a simialr situation i have a lot of questions. I have read every georgia lesislation, every internet site i can find but i still have a million questions.

My fiance was just released in June and while he was in he heard about this 6 month thing for parole/probation violators, it held true for one of our friends who was in for probation violation. Now I'm sure the offense is also taken into consideration as far as the actual violation and determining how much time they have to serve, but I don't know all the details.

Thanks for the info. He was locked up with someone in the county jail who was just released from a prison down there and that is what they had offered him. I thought that it may have been for technicla violations only but that guy said he had gotten more charges that is how he violated so who knows. I guess i will wait and see just like everyone else.

My bf is going up for a parole revocation hearing. He commited burg. while on parole. Does anyone know how this process works? His new sentence is 10 do 4 which means he will be off of parole by the time this new sentence is over, can they extend his parole or revoke it for commiting the burg while still on parole? I am very new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Pen.
