I dont know anything about that unit but I wanted to welcome you anyway.....someone will come along that can help you. You may want to look in the texas forum under prison profiles......just a thought for ya.

I have heard so many different things about what you have to do to visit prisoners in federal facilities and I don't know anything for sure. Here is the address and phone number. I would call and get the correct info before I made a trip. At least if you can't visit you could at least write.

Most of the facilities are south of Beaumont - going towards Port Arthur - Sorry, I can't think of the Interstate that runs south there! When Jess was at Gist, I would stay at the Motel 6 just off I-20 in Beaumont. It was around $45 for a weekend night - I think. It was pretty nice. I know there is at least one federal facility there, but don't know the name. Sorry, I'm not much help, am I?

Welcome to PTO anyway! I know some of these ladies DO visit in Beaumont, maybe one will be along that can tell you more.

I'm sorry I just noticed this..I visit my husband in Beaumont at Gist State Jail. Which direction will you be coming from, and I'll be glad to try to help you out with hotel information and such. I come down there from Austin, and pick up I-10 and go straight down I-10 east to Beaumont. The Federal Complexes are right off I-10 and Hwy 69, according to the signs I go past on my way to Gist. Appears to only be a few miles from where the state complexes are.
Let me know what I can do to help!
