Hi Any info on Livingston Correctional facility would be greatly appreciated. Like visiting, packages, etc. Thanks Paula

It's been a while since I visited. But from what I can recall, it is a small facility. They have odd/even visitation days. If his number ends in even then visit on a date that is even as well. You can bring packages to the facility as well as mail. They provide brown paper bags. For food --canned food, industrial packaged products, nothing with micromave sensors in them. When my honey was there he could receive Raman noodles, but other facilites can't. Clothing-- make sure the colors are correct-no black, blue or oranges and shades of those colors like gray. I thought there was a doc directive on the site, but I may be wrong.

I would get there early because everytime I visited it was extremely busy. Out of all the facilities he has been in this one had CO's that were the most respective. And the voluteers that work the pre-visiting room were nice. There is only one room to visit in during this season and it is extremely noisy. Bring quarters for machines and pictures. They have an area for children to watch videos but it is not enclosed like some of them are.

This is one of the facilities where you don't have to walk far to go to the visiting center and into the facility.

My baby is currently in Livingston, the above it correct about the colors. They are only able to have 35lbs w month of non-perishable food items. When sending him clothing, everything must be a solid color with any logos. You can send him shoes, except for Nike Airmax (something about an air bubble), the shoes must not cost more than $50; receipt has to be enclosed. This is the only cost restricted item that he told me of. If have called up there several times and my many questions have been answered. (585) 658-3710
