We heard from a supposedly reliable source that N.C. will continue HCV treatments for those infected inmates who have already begun treatments. Any newly diagnosed inmates will not be treated due to the state budget crisis.

Has anyone seen or heard anything official concerning this issue? We'd like to verify the information we received.

I am posting this here as well as in the N.C. forum since there are health care advocates here who may have access to information from sources we have not tapped.

No I haven't heard this. If anyone has any info on this, please let us know ASAP, as we need to start contacting people to try & get this reversed. Thanks for posting this & giving us a heads up.-----------Ken
