After a scare at home this weekend I want to buy a fire extinguisher asap but am debating on what kind. One just for the kitchen (oil etc.) or an all purpose one? I don't know if the basic fire extinguishers work on oil also

Anyone have sugestions of what kind/brand I should buy?

Thanks

You can always call your local fire department for a recomendation.

please be sure to check those smoke detectors and such as well. With a tree and all of those lights I'd hate to think a house would go up but they do every year. I want all here to be safe this holiday season. I'd like to get to know many more here.

:fb: Geez Lisa! He's home for less than a week and you're already close to burning down the house! :)

I think I got mine at Walmart or something. Just check the package and make sure that it has the federal standards and requirements for what you are using it for (oil, water, etc).
