View Full Version : Chuckawalla Lockdowns? NJR102000 12-11-2004, 02:31 PM Does Anybody Know If They Are On Lockdown? Do They Have Alot Of Lockdowns St Chuckies? PIMAKAT 12-16-2004, 10:19 AM No...not too often! In fact, during the entire time PIMA was there they were only locked down three times (that I recall). And in fact, on two separate occassions, visiting was still permitted over the weekends (no phones though). NJR102000 12-17-2004, 09:43 AM Thanks So Much For Responding. It's Like Pulling Teeth Around Here To Get Someone To Respond. Thanks Again And Happy Holidays!!! agrlsparky 12-20-2004, 12:29 PM My husband is also at Chuckawalla. They do not go on lockdown very often. Thank God. They may be on lockdown for a day or two---but it has never been longer than that. It may be because they are in a dorm type of setting and it may be difficult to enforce a true lockdown. If your man hasn't called--give it a couple of days. The phones do not work too good out there in Blythe, and they are always breaking down. It might just be a phone malfunction instead of a lockdown. My husband said that his time at Chuckawalla has been his easiest in the 10 years he's been down. A level 2 prison is much more forgiving than a Level 3 or 4 and lockdowns are less common. Instead of locking down an entire race like whites, blacks, etc.---they go after the individuals involved in the altercation. Stay strong---he'll call. |
