I have a question. Shawn saw his IPO the other day. He told him that he was on the EPA list(?) and that he would not have to go before the parole board just his jacket/file. And he said that he would not have to take SATP class before release. So I'm assuming this is all good news. Does him not going before the board mean anything?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. But I just wanted to say congratulations on him making the EPA list!!

I know a guy that was on the last EPA list. He was on a 309 in Dallas County and just his jacket went infront of the parole board. After the board looked at his jacket, two weeks later he was home. He paroled out to Pine Bluff.

Sounds to me like he's going home!! Not getting stipulated for SATP is great news! Congrats!! You'll want to know what date the board will respond to the review of his file, and then you'll know for sure when he'll be home.

He said it would still be Jan. 11 before the board will see his file. His IPO said there was no way to get it seen in Dec. How long does it usually take after the parole board sees his file before they come back with an answer?

I can't believe i don't remember! I think it's about 2 weeks. Last time we had to wait 6 because of a "computer glitch." They will tell you you can call a number on Tuesday for the results, but he will get the results on Monday.

Micheal goes up for parole on Jan. 11th also. I'm hoping since they have the emergency release act in effect that he will get out early. I have no clue what to expect. I just know that he told me that I have to be there by 12:30 that day. He also said that he wants me to talk for him. And I have no clue what to expect. I am just hoping for the best, but trying not to get my hopes up too much, because I don't want to be disappointed if they don't let him out early.
TBS, I just wanted to tell you congrats.

Jen - They do not automatically go up for parole every year. Is August 2008 is t.e./p.e. date (parole date) or complete time served?

I paroled out on Dec. 22, 2004. I went in front of the Parole Board in August. I got an answer in September. It's usually anywhere from 6-3 months before the TE date.

Hope this helps.

Keep your head, we've been there.
