One of my cats has a fairly sensitive stomach. He doesn't seem to care. He still eats like it's his last meal even though he ends up throwing it back up within 5 minutes. It's kind of amusing, if you think about it...
So I'm having this massive Christmas party next Friday and I go to Home Depot today to rent a carpet cleaner. I finish cleaning all of the carpeting in my condo and leave to return the cleaner. I get home to find a big ole pile of puke smack dab in the middle of my living room floor.
I'm going to kill the little booger...
I guess it's now time to rearrange the furniture...

Ever considered getting a prescription diet from the vet? I had a cat with a sensitive stomach and the lamb/rice food proved to be wonderful for my carpet. :) It's expensive from the vet, but I think Purina makes one for sensitive stomachs.
mlg78- I have 3 cats and one of them always throws up as soon as I finish vacuuming- it's not because she is frightened by the noise either as she is the only one who stays and watches. Can't figure it out.Your cat is beautiful!

DLM - the cat I'm referring to is obsessed with my vacuum. He hisses if it's not on but if I turn it on he's within a foot of it chasing it around as I use it.
...and then he pukes.
It's a good thing he's cute... I have such a hard time buying food for my cats. One cat is underweight and has kidney problems so I need to give it kitten food even though it's 6 years old. He's also missing half of his teeth so I can only give him canned food. Another cat is fat and eats everything in sight and him eating kitten food doesn't help the situation. Then there's Squirt...the puker. His stomach is so sensitive it's very hard to find something that he can eat. He throws things up so quickly. Blah!

Do you give him fresh grass ??? I suppose you can find this in the US too, it's a special grass the cats are very found of. It's good for cleaning their stomach.
Your cat is very beautiful. :)

cat nip?
Explain what this fresh grass is a little more, if you don't mind, Phil.
People in the US don't run out to their lawns and cut off some grass to feed to their cats so I'm a little confused. Thanks!

That's catnip, Phil! I do give it to him occasionally...but apparently it's not often enough! I'll go give him a bunch now :) Thanks for the suggestion!

One of my cats is the same way. I just give him small amounts to eat. If he still looks like he is eating too fast, or goes after the other cat's food, I just take the food dishes away for awhile. If he starts wretching, I find a newspaper to put under him. It used to scare him, but he's ok with it now.
Have you ever noticed that they always puke on the carpet instead of a non-carpeted floor? Or worse, from the top of a bookcase or entertainment center?

Your kitty might be allergic to something in the cat food. I have one that cannot have beef in any form. Might want to ask your vet. In the meantime, I feel for you! I cleaned our carpets and upholstery and then my 4 year (who was 2 at the time) got sick on it.....so after cleaning her up had to reclean the couch.
