 :blah: ..Hello, my name is Jaimi, and Iam from So. Cali. Iam a bit confused about my visiting application/ being approved etc. My man was at CRC in Norco, CA, last year(he was released in Sept. of 2003. Unfortunately he is back in the system but this time at NKSP. in Delano, CA. He has been in county through reception, and now doing the rest of his time there, he's been gone since June of this year, 2004. Well I have always been approved for visiting(like at CRC.), but for some reason I sent a new visiting form when he was still in Reception, it was like 45 or maybe more days til i got any response(i went up there to just give it a shot, 4-5 hrs, away)then the next week is when i got my denial paper.(when i went up there they were so mean and unhelpful, my case was pending.) So anyways they say Iam denied for " Our records indicate you may have a case pending in court or no disposition for the cases below:blah blah blah.......before processing your visiting questionnaire we will need the disposition of your case.blah blah blah.. well the case they are talking about is from 1994 and took care of it when he was a CRC. i only have to finsh on my payment plan of the fine. So dont get why I was approved only a year ago for CRC when my case had more to it(i had to do house arrest, while i was still approved last time). Well i got the Certified Minute Order but still not sure bout the disposition status, considering iam still just finishing off my payment plan. Any suggestions or any feed back Please. My kids(5kids) and I NEED to see Daddy.thanks for all your time.*** Jaimi ***

Wow, Sorry To Hear That. Maybe If You Call The Cdc They Can Tell You What To Do. It Is Pretty Weird That They Approve You At One Place And Then Not Approve You The Second Time Around. Don't Know What Else To Say But Good Luck. To Me California Is Very Flaky When It Comes To All This.

I thought the same that once you were approved at one facility it carried over. WOW sorry to hear that you drove that far and didnt get in. At least you were determined!!! I hope it all works out though. Dont give up

Yeah I hope it works out for you . Right now I cannot visit my man. Haven't been able to since he's been gone(4months) and it's killing me but I'm hanging in there Hopefully after he gets sentenced and transferred to a new facility they will allow me. He's at a federal jail and they are really strict. But his sister goes to see him and she takes our sons, too.

So at least he gets to see the babies.

But I wish the best for your heartbreaking dilemma and hang in there you are not alone in this.

Wow! I would write a letter, because it comes out less emotionally charged than talking to someone on the phone. Explain exactly what you have said here and send any documentation that you have ( copies at first, until they ask for originals). If you have your approval letter from last year, send a copy of that as well. Also, explain to them that you have no new items pending in the last year. Send the letter through the post office, where you get a confirmation of them receiving it and document, document, document everything. As far as his level, I think he probably got more points for reoffending or violating parole, whichever it was. He may have made level 3 by just 1 point. Good Luck I hope it all works out. Take Care and God Bless!

It is true that once you are approved at one prison your approval is good everywhere the inmate may go with in the system.

But Title 15 states that any time an inmate paroles and then returns to the custody of the department, all visitors must reapply.

So although you were approved the first time, and provided what ever was needed to be approved, now you have to reapply again because the inmate was released.

You stated you already have a copy of the minute order regarding your matter, so just resubmit a new application signed by the inmate, and a copy of the minute order, and wait till your inmate tells you that you are an approved visitor.
