Can anyone help me out?? I thought I had read somewhere here a while back that Title 15 says that the guys are allowed one call a month while they are in the hole. Is this true?? Or did I just misread something?? Could someone point me in the right direction?? Thanks!!!

Ya know I think I remember reading something like that as well but I'm not positive.I know when my guy was in ad seg or the "hole" at a few different Ca. prisons and also in the SHU he got no calls period

Inmates placed in Ad/Seg are placed in Privilege Group D. Title 15 Section 3044 states that inmates in Prvilege Group D will receive "telephone calls on an Emergency Basis only as determined by institution/facility staff."

I know that in Idaho after being in the hole for 20 days they are able to call once. And I do believe that if they get put in ad-seg then they can maybe call once a week. But thats just what I have heard. I heard the hole part from a LT. here.

My guy has been in the hole since July and has had no phone calls.

My man has been in the hole for 4 months now and he has called me a few times now, but that's only because his phone calls were court ordered by the judge.

Wow, I wish the court could order my guy to make phone calls!! :)

My penpal has been in the hole for two months and he was allowed to make 1 phone call a month. He did have a nice guard who would allow him to make phone calls to me when he was on duty, so I have spoken with him about 5 times since he has been in there. He is in Missouri.

Qwerty, it actually sounds better than it really is. As I mentioned before, my fiancee is fighting a new case that the DA filed while he was already serving time in prison...so that is why my man is in Ad/Seg "the hole."

What he's going through isn't funny but what is funny is this. When my man made his 1st court appearance he asked the judge to give him a phone call so he could try and obtain legal representation, which the judge granted. When my man appeared at his 2nd court date he already had a lawyer and he still asked the judge, "you honor I would like to know if I would be able to get 1 or 2 court ordered phone calls?" The judge looked at him like...you got to be kidding me. :idea: Then the judge said, "2 phone calls granted and are court ordered." I just smiled :) at my man in court and said to myself, "my man is too much!" :p

Generally refers to being put into the adminisrative segregation unit. (Ad-Seg) Usually a 1 person high securtiy cell where you have very limited privleges and 23/7 lockdown.

oh, okay thanks for the clarification. Hell hole, in other words. Man, that is crucial. I don't know what I would do if I was in there. I hope my man stays out of trouble. I don't think he has been there yet.
