:angry: I was just wondering if anyone knows what is going on at Stanley.They are not allowed to use the phonesbut are still able to recieve visits.The guard i talked to was very rude to me .Anyone knows anything let me know thanks alot.:confused:

i am wondering the same thing. my brother is there and he couldn't call all week, and our parents went to visit him on friday and saturday and after the visit on saturday, they put him in seg. they said he threatened someone, totally not true, he had just left the visiting room when they snatched him up and assucced him. totally ridiculous! i guess there was some problem in another unit from my brother and they are short on guards, so they locked the whole place down. if they are allowing visits still though that is kind of strange, sounds to me like they don't want anyone to know what is going on there, maybe we should let the news organization know there is a problem!!

keep us posted if you know. I heard that there's some shady things going on in the Stanley and Chippewa Valley facility. Maybe things are coming out and it's falling on the inmates. They need to document everything that is happening to them, especially if they did nothing wrong.

How long has this been going on? My guy is not there anymore, but we still have friends there. :confused: I'd call Madison and get some answers if Stanley isn't talking.

My brother was at Stanley. He was recently transferred. My parents and I have been fighting with Stanley, and letting them know we are aware of the shady things happening there. I believe they think just because my brother is no longer there, that I will let up, but I am still willing to go after them. There are just too many bad thing happening there to ignore. My brother had a similar incident involving segregation. It was bogus. I have some information, so if anyone wants to join forces to make them straighten up their act and realize they cannot do whatever they want, let me know.

my fiance is at stanley...i just heard from him today...as of monday they were still on lockdown and were allowed to shower...he doesnt know why they are on lockdown, or when they will be off....they can have visits, but they are strip searched before and after every visit...he has asked me not to come visit till this is over...i searched the net for any news on this, but it seems to be being kept a secret...he said that the guards are scared and no one is allowed out of his cell without an escort of two or more guards...so if anyone finds out whats going on out there...please let us know...mel

p.s. are any of you who visit stanley in the appleton area or oshkosh??

I just called one of Milwaukee's news stations to see if they'd like to check into it since they briefly covered the lockdown in New Lisbon.

I don't him it's unusual for the facilities to be locked down for this long while leaving inmates and family in the dark.

Maybe they can come up with something.

Thank you for checking in to that. They are able to take showers like every 2 to 3 days and their medications isnt given to them at the time they are suppose to get them.The guards are really harrassing the inmates threatening to ransack their rooms.It is ran like a max prison not a medium.They can send out mail but they have to send it out under thier door not sure if they will even get it out.They can have a 5 min phone call 1 time a day.Please do tell the media this or let me know what stations you talk to so i can let them know.Because as of today they have been in lokdown for 9 days.

I am from the Fond Du Lac area about 17 miles from Oshkosh. Thanks for the info hopefully this will be straighted out very soon.

Also they only are able to have 1 hot meal a day

im in appleton...do you get up to stanley to see your man often? maybe during the week or something?...let me know, maybe we can ride together sometime....

have you gotten any response from the media? i have checked all the papers in wisconsin and there wasnt anything bout stanley....it isnt right...they dont even know why they are locked down...all my fiance knows is that the guards wont let them out of thier cells without two guards and the "goon squad" with batons.....what the hell happened there??? im going to contact senator judy robison of beloit...she has been of help in the past.....ill let ya know what i find
