hi!
new to the forum and new to the visiting thing. i was finally approved to visit an old friend at Wasco state prison. i'm planning to head out there on saturday. does anyone who's been there know anything about those fine details like what time to get there in order to make sure to get in and if there is anywhere to stay in the area. i'm coming 250 miles so i want to make sure that i definitely get to see him. even if you go to another facility in california, if you have any first time pointers, they would be very much appreciated!

I haven't been to Wasco, but I do know that you need to be there earlier than the visiting time starts because of processing. Make sure that you are dressed appropriately and only have 1 pair of earrings, 1 necklace and shoes that are easy to take on and off. Also, take some patience with you, I know I sure needed it my first visit. Hopefully, someone with more specific info to where you are going will come on and answer you before you go. Good Luck! Take Care and God Bless!

I am glad to hear that all went well and you are welcome. It is good that you and your husband took the time to go visit him then, since it had been so long since his last visit. Take Care and God Bless!
