Looks like they could use some help. Are you in the pics Spencer? Does anyone know the technical name for the spray they use? Is it the same as Pepper Spray? Fed-X 04-18-2002, 03:11 PM Torrey, I am sure they have something a little "hotter" than regular Pepper Spray they use, but same principal.. CS-Gas? Spencer, I see the police skating up in one of the last pictures.. Do they like to hassle people? Should I mic up for the parade? :) David Joy 04-18-2002, 08:11 PM For those of you have done some time in the military, you know what I am talking about. During basic training, we had the wonderful chance to experience the tear gas. The first time we had to go into a building with our masks on, we were instructed to take a deep breath, take off our masks, state our name, rank and social security number, do a left face and march out orderly. (There were 3 rows of us). Well, like everyone else, I took my mask off and then took a breath. That was all she wrote guys...nothing orderly about what happened next. I saw "BIG" guys, I mean some of these guys in basic were some "BIG" men literaly brought down to their knees by this stuff. and all they did was just take a breath. It hurts, stings, stuff comes out of your mouth and nose that isn't normal (I'm trying to be not quite so graphic here) To spray these men like has been reported is so dangerous. It is so wrong. And then to not wash them off. We were told once we came out of the building to run around the field flappying our arms (I know sounds funny) but that was the best way to get the stuff off and to keep it from hurting so much. These men in prison have no place to run. The more I write about this experience, the more I get angry. Joy Fed-X 04-18-2002, 10:22 PM I've had a few run-ins with pepper spray & real tear gas. Neither is pleasant. I was one of those kids that liked to see & touch. And of course, test! I was probably 8 years old when our family pulled off at a little store on a road trip. There was a spindle rack with bottles of tear gas/spray on them. Of course, I was warned but I had to spray some on my finger. I smiled and told my brother it was a joke. This stuff doesn't hurt one bit. THEN I made the MISTAKE of sniffing it! Next thing I know I was on the floor crying my eyes out. (That or they were crying on their own :P) LESSON LEARNED! Many years later, I got it in the eyes while driving. I had just gotten done mixing it up with two guys in a parking lot when some of their friends showed and I thought it a good time to bug out while I was on top. I just happened to have this girl friend with me that was enjoying the ringside seating until the cavalry showed up. I had a number of vehicles after me and she was getting a little nervous at the driving. Well. I should have paid a little more attention to her because she was fondling with a pepper spray bottle on her key chain. Probably going over various scenarios should we get pinned down? Maybe she wasn't sure how good the stuff worked and wanted to try it out ahead of time, or maybe my slalom course race-track driving was tweaking her nerves too much, but I caught it right in the eyes, my nose and all over my neck. The strange thing was I felt the wet spray well before the match was dropped in the proverbial gasoline. Once my face caught on fire I somehow remembered someone telling me not to rub the stuff. I dropped the window and cussed my head off. Blinking profusely and trying to keep from going splat, or causing anyone else to. Long story short, I lost the guys on my arse and then flushed my face for about 30 minutes. Gas definitely isn't a joke. I got a short burst and then got to air out the vehicle. Being stuck in a cell with that stuff is BS. And I have seen the cans those guys carry and they don't spray a little blast.. They fog. nighthawk_75253 04-19-2002, 05:58 PM Hello Yall, glad you liked the pics.No I did not make it to that one.The protests in march were on wednesdays,I had to work.God Bless................................Spencer Sabine 04-23-2002, 03:00 PM hello ! just wanted to tell that the woman in the wheelchair is pauls mother. even she is not doing fine, she is a very strong woman. i hope a lot of you will meet her in may :-) i miss her a lot. as i visited she trieded me like her own little baby. :-) yours sabine Sabine 04-23-2002, 03:03 PM here is a good link about the pepper spray used this days in usa: http://mediafilter.org/caq/CAQ56pepper.html if america would use this pepper spray in a war, it would be a war crime. yours sabine nighthawk_75253 04-24-2002, 03:33 PM Sabine,I have not had a chance to talk to you lately. There is a group of us going to polunsky on the 11th.Wish you could be there with us.God Bless.................................Spencer Sabine 04-25-2002, 12:03 PM dear spencer ! yes, i am so confused and stressed at the moment (they start to kill my friends in texas - not paul, dont be afraid) and i am behind in every contact, everything ... in a way i will be there with you on may 11, mama mary promised me to bring my photo with her. yours sabine torrey 04-25-2002, 01:22 PM Sabine have you any idea what is going on with the surprise inspections Paul wrote about in the last uncensor?
