Hi All!
I was thinking about marrying my fiance while he is incarcerated. I was wondering if anyones husband got released earlier because you got marry while he was in prison or do you know of anyone that this has happened to?
Hello Candy,
Congrad. !!:) I wish you both the best. How ever, you marrying him has nothing to do with him getting released early. So if that is the only reason why you are marrying him, you may want to rethink it. Cause if wont help his release.
Best wishes to you

I haven't heard that happenning. They did away with lowering points because you're married or have kids out here too...alas, the only way to get out early is to do your time and not get into any trouble.

shoot i wish they would have an early release for getting married while in prison. i would have gotten married 2 years ago. no but on the serious tip. i have never heard of that before. make sure you love the man and want to be with him. dont marry him under rumors that you have heard or been told. find out the facts and make sure he is the one.
and soul what are you talking about there they lower your points if you are married or have kids?

congratulations on your wedding. My partner Shaylon and I are planning on getting married also. As far as I know SOME prisons may allow people getting married 2 spend 1 night together. To consumate the marriage / 1 night honey moon. Best thing I found is to contact the prison he is in either by email or phone and ask if this is possible. They wont let him out early because of a marriage. Sorry I hope this info may help u.

Thank Rowie,
I guess I should have rephrased the question. What I really meant to ask was would it look better for him once he goes up for parole to have been married in prison? We have decided to wait until he is released before we marry because he is in another state and I couldn't afford to travel back and forth for counseling and the wedding. He will know this month if he will be paroled or not. He recieved a 10 month defer last time he saw the parole board, so this time he should be transferred to a minimum or halfway house. I hope he gets a grant, then he could come home. I am keeping my fingers crossed!! Thanks again for the advice.
