SJ_Latina 05-09-2006, 12:15 PM Well, 1st things first. New Folsom is currently on lockdown due to a CO being taken hostage on Saturday. According to a message on their hotline, visiting information will be updated tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10, 2006. You can call 1-800-374--8474 and follow the prompts to the new Folsom Hotline. (1-1-3) Before you do that, you should determine what group he falls into, since that is how they will address who can and can't have visits. (RE: Northern Hispanic, Blacks, Whites, etc.) At New Folsom there are Level I and Level IV prisoners only. Old Folsom is Level II and III. If he is on a mainline you do not need to make an appointment. I believe the only ones you have to make appointments for are those behind glass. And that is when they are in "the hole" or protective custody. You can call the prison directly and ask to talk to visiting department. 916-985-8610. They will tell you whether he can have contact visits or not. |
