What can be done about Evercom and it's Prison Billing System? My son is in a local prison from my home. It is not Long Distance to the Prison. He has to call home Collect at $3.00 for 10 minutes. We are also having a problem with being able to receive collect calls because of the way the Company has us set up in their system. This has nothing to do with Non Payment of bills. They cannot seem to get things set up properly.

I'm in NC too, dealing with that same phone system. There are prison reform groups advocating for change in the telephone system -one of those groups is NC-CURE, of which I am the coordinator/chairperson. We will be having our February meeting on Saturday 2-16 in Greensboro at 1:30 pm and would love for you to attend.
