Listen to this everyone. I contacted a organization named the Rutherford Institute which is a group of attorneys who handle civil law suits at no charge. Their web site is www.rutherford.org if anyone wants to look it up. I asked them if they could help me fight the North Carolina Department of Corrections who took my visits away and I received the same ole answer. We sympathize with your situation but our expertise is not in that area. Okay I will try again. I have a letter into Prison Fellowship to see if they can do anything. Just keep on trucking Right?

Hey Guys,
What I need is some way to fight the Ex-Employee Policy, or their so-called Ex-Employee policy. The Doc says that it states any ex employee who had a unprofessional relationship with an inmate can never visit them in prison, even though I visited for 8 months before they said anything.
I'm trying to find a legal loop hole somewhere because other ex-employees still visit.

Renee... Have you ever pointed out to them there are cases of ex-employees visiting and asking for a justification in writing of why your case is so different?? Have they ever responded to the fact that there are indeed other employees who visit?? I am trying to brainstorm for ya, but you know they cover their butts pretty well, and I am no legal expert...

Yep, and they have avoided answering the question. I even asked them to send me a copy of the Ex-Employee policy concerning visiting inmates and they have ignored it. They continue to send me the same old letter. You had a unprofessional relationship with a inmate and we can never allow you to visit any prisoner in the NCDOC, but believe me if I walked in any prison to see anyone else they would not say a word.
See I was thinking a discrimination law suit, but no one whats to take the case. Some people want to take my money, but they don't want to do anything. I've had attorney's laugh at me and tell me to get a better boyfriend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can imagine what that did to me:fb: :fb: :fb:
The DOC thinks I will get tried of trying and finally give up. They are so wrong!!!!!!!

ARRGGHHH!!! Trust me I feel your frustration.... Try working around the system like we have talked about.... :) It's sad that when there isn't big money involved, but only someone's quality of life and a principle, no one seems interested in helping..

texas has the same policy but it is in writing and I have seen it. If you want I will do some digging and see if I can come up with the copy of the one for NC if it really does exist.. Then we can go from there..
