Hi everyone. A lot of people have been telling me that i should write the parole board while Jason's parole process in under investigation. Well I will do anything to help him. What should I put in the letters? What is supposed to be in letter to the parole board? Also, Jason's was accused (wrongly, but that's another story for another day) of statutory rape. That being the case, he has to build 90% of his sentence, right? If that is right then would a letter from me to the parole board even help him at all or not? Any information you could give on the whole letter to the parole board issue would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks yall!

In all of the letters I wrote for my fiance and a couple of friends I have my here on PTO to the Georgia Parole Board, a few of the thigs I try to put an emphasis on are as follows:
* previous employment
* plans for future employment
* family relationships
* importance of their role in the family
* any extracuricular activities (ie, softball, golfing, fishing etc.)
* any progress in the moral/character during incarceration
* if they are working while incarcerated
* if they are furthering education
I also wanted to note that I emailed my letters to the board members as well as regular mailed them. I also called the board and found out who was investigating the case and mailed copies of all letters to them as well as the Chairman of the Parole Board, Buddy Nix.

Jasonslovebug, have you checked the PP&S forum? There is bunch of info and outlines for writing letters of support there.They'll tell you exactly how to do it and what to put in the letter. As far as the rest of your questions, I don't really have any answers, but I'm sure someone will be along to help!

As far as the 90% thing goes, try not to even think about it much, I don't. If the parole board sees and hears that he has people that love and care for him on the outside then they are more likely to go outside the 90% "policy" when considering him. Good luck!
