I'll update this post on Staurday to include more info as I'm going to visit and there is a Information sheet of facts for MCI recieved calls. They are known to block you if they can't bill through your current provider or if you have any outstanding bills with them. I'll update to include the 800 number for them should you have any problems. LA to Chino is probably less then and hour, I come from San Diego and lead foot that I am can make it in about 1 hour 30 and it's 98 miles for me. So watch out if your on the 15 north around 9:00 a.m on Saturdays If you need any other info on Chino, PM me and I'll be happy to help. RPinSD Cubana 11-16-2004, 02:23 AM Yes MCI services them. However call this # 866-770-4896. This department is called Friends and family. They will have to take the block off your phone. The high toll department can't because they don't have access to see that you have one. My husband was at Jamesstown for one year and at a camp and I never had aproblem. When he got to Chino I had a block. When I called the high toll department they told me I didn't have one from that department but gave me the number to another department there, the number above. The reason that I had a block is that their ( Chino) software at the prison is an old one and needs to be updated. It took me 10 days many many phone calls and 3 times my cordless phone died to find this out. Even before he calls you should call the number above. Just in case. It doesn't happen to everyone they say but be on the safe side. devilorangel81 11-18-2004, 01:17 PM Collect calls coming from Chino go through MCI. Chino Prison from L.A. is about 45 minutes away.
