I am so confused, On a former thread people said that it really didnt make any difference if the board called asking their famous questions. But then again on my last thread you guys said that since the phone says that he is currently under investigation that he should be close to his tpm. So I dont know what to believe. Is this good or bad? Or should I just stop worrying about this until I actually here a date?

I say call the automated line about once a week and see what it says. I have found that there are no "written" rules when dealing with the DOC. I sure hope you get an answer soon---and its a good answer.

As I See It, All That Means Is They Are Going To Come To A Decesion Soon Questions By The Board Are General Questions So That They Can Finsh The Investigation. It A Process. Believe Me I Got My Hopes Up Too, But Haven't Heard Anything Else In Months So Don't Do What I Did, Because In The End You'll Be Down For A Minute. I Hope That This Does Mean Good News For You And Yours But Just Keep The Good With The Bad, Don't Get Too Excited.a Tpm Is Just A Date That He Will Come Up For Parole, It Doesn't Mean He Will Get Out. It All Depends On How His Progress Is When His Tpm Comes Up. It A Long And Confusing Road But We All Had To Go Through It. Thanks To All The Wonderful People Here, We Never Go This Road Alone And Someone Is Always Willing To Share What They've Learned Along The Way And Give Encouragement To You. I Know Exactly How You Feel And I Hope Things Go Alot Different For You Then They've Gone For Me Cause We Are Still Waiting And It's Been Approx. 6mths Since Those Calls. Well, Keep Your Head Up And Stay Strong.
Much Luv From

When they conduct the investigation and make the calls, etc. it does not necessarily mean the inmate is approaching the TPM, it means they are coming to a close of the investigation and will be making the decision/determining the TPM.

hey, all this advice is good. and the flip side is that I didn't get a call, but we got good news.....so there is always hope and no "stone rules" with the DOC and PAP

I couldn't agree with you more Tammy!
NOTHING can be said as set in stone in Georgia when dealing with the DOC or PAP.

Georgia Parole Board Automated Number 404 657 9350
I hope not, I am about tired of dealing with these people. They are taking there time in this whole thing. Did anyone ever get a grid sheet? My boyfriend looked at one and scored himself he got a 18/20. I wish they would let him go for the holidays. :(

Mandy,
thanks for the number. Now, I hate to sound totally ignorant, but what is a gridsheet and what is its purpose? I've never heard of one of those. I've visited the parole board's website a few times, but I've never seen any info about this or much other USEFUL info.

4everalways....
here is a link to an extremely resourceful thread here in the GA Forum regarding Georgia Grid Sheets:

A grid sheet is used to determine how much time an inmate will serve in prison.
