I start my long trek to South Carolina in the morning to see my baby son, Steven. The long trip will be worth it just to hug him one time! So few days start off with a smile anymore and today was one knowing I will be seeing him. I bet he is more excited than I am! I won't sleep a wink tonight!:)

I hope you enjoy the visit and safe traveling. When you see his smile the long drive will be well worth it.

I'm so excited for you! Tell him "hello" from all your PTO friends! Please be careful. There is not much around Enoree so stop before you get there. Let us know how your visit goes!

And a big South Carolina "Hey!" to Phil. Welcome. It's surprising to see you around this neck of the country!

Thank everyone for your thoughts! Our visit was wonderful. To see my baby's smiling face and to hug him was well worth all those hours on the road. God how I miss that boy. He can always make me smile. Gonna try and go again this weekend...

He seems to be doing much better now. He is adjusting very well. To go from the free spirit college boy to an inmate was a huge change for him and I have to say he has done well. He keeps busy. He works in the Chaplins office Mon-Thur. He is a tutor for those studying for their GED, and he also works in the library 2 evenings a week. I think the hardest time he had was getting use to eating the food. He was always as a child one that I had to pack his lunch for him at school because he couldn't stand the food there. And he says that is what it reminds him of- school food. Thank God we got everything set up for him really quick to go to the canteen or he would have starved to death.

Great to hear your visit went well and I'm sure the minute you saw his face light up, made that long drive worth it. I have been thinking about your trip since we talked and was waiting to hear how everything went.
