I need info about SVSP....like how visiting is, dress code strictly enforced?, wait to get in, the whole bit....

Visiting is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The cops usually let us in around 6:30 to get our numbers, the bus arrives about 8:30 and they load you up according to your number that you were given. Dress code is usually enforced, it really depends on who is working processing.....But I would not chance wearing the wrong thing because you then have to take the bus back down to change...No sleeveless tops, no jeans, or anything the color of blue, or anything resembling what the cops wear........You are allowed to bring in $30.00 in dollar bills or quarters.

Just Make Sure You Get There Early So That You Get A Good Number. I Remember When My Husband Was In Svsp, I Would Drive Out There Early Inthe Morning And Park On The Side Of The Road With Everyone Else And I Usually Got A Really Low Number But There Was Always People There At The Crack Of Dawn. I Just Hate The Bus Ride And If They Send You Back For Any Dress Code Reason You Have To Wait For The Stupid Bus To Come Pick You Up, Take You Down And Then You Have To Get On The Bus All Over Again. Good Luck, You Will Definitely Get Used To It But It Is Very Stressful At Times.
