I just heard yesterday that they are starting to release some inmate even if they don't have a TPM. Has anyone else heard about this? Also, how long does it take to get a TPM? On the web site, my son's still says n/a.

Kebala, keep us posted. I pray our men will come home....My friends' says 'not allowed" i don't know if n/a stands for not allowed or what. but not allowed means that parole was denied and they have to do their max sentence.

I think n/a means they're still working on it. When it says "not allowed", that means they have to serve it all. Where did you hear that info from Barbara? It could be true, but probably only for people with shorter sentences.

I have not heard this, but you could always call and ask the parole board.
As far as TPM, it can be determined as early as 6-8 months after the inmate is in State custody or as long as x-amount of years depending on the length of their sentence.
N/A on the GDC website just means it has not be determined yet. When it says not allowed it means they will serve the entire sentence and release on their max out date.

I have heard that about the inmates getting release early. It is going around at the facility where my fiance is. I heard from my fiance that some guys have gone home that didn't have a TPM, they just informed them they were going home. I think that is good news! I will keep my hands crossed and hope for the best. I am praying for all of us!

They have no reason not to parole him .and everyone is saying the deny everyone there first time? can somone send me a private message if u know anything about this. thanks

I'm not sure of all the specifics, but I do know that if he goes up for parole again they will change his info. on the GDC site from Not Allowed...to whatever his TPM may be. They just put not allowed because that is the decision from his first time around at parole.

My boyfriend has been in the state system since June 2003 and the DOC website says he has no TPM, but he got a letter in November 2003 saying his TPM was April 2005 and his PIC month was Dec. 2004. What's Up??? What's the difference between a PIC month and a TPM?
