I'm planning to visit my son on Thanksgiving day. Will anything be different from a visit on any other day? Do the inmates get a special meal?

Now, I don't know when thanksgiving is (I'm not an american... :) ), but if you want to, I could ask him if there is anything special at Thanksgiving... Hugs! arriana 11-06-2004, 10:27 PM I know at Lewis it means that they do get an extra visit if it falls on a non regular visit day and that they get only two meals a day as they are on weekend schedule I know for some holidays they get mystery turkey supposedly... Being a federal holiday they can also get photos done njtexas 11-07-2004, 12:23 PM I'd really appreciate it if you could find out more about Thanksgiving. Can I bring food since it's a holiday? az-tears 11-07-2004, 12:50 PM Hi Njtexas the prison's dont allow food on holidays only on food visit's which is every four months, you might want to call the prison to make sure. Your son has to be on a low level to have food visits. But they get the same meals as every other day-just another sad day to them. Dale'sforever 11-11-2004, 01:20 AM Hello, My husband is in Kaibab in Winslow and unfortunately, they don't get anything special on Thanksgiving. It's just like a regular visit but we only get half day--either 830-1130 or 1230-330. They will be taking pictures that day if you would like to get a picture taken, but that's about it as far as anything special. Lisa |
