As most know by now I am going to visit Chris today. This is the first time visiting at this prison and I am nervous. Here in Idaho you cant wear blue jeans because thats what the inmates wear. It seems that years ago an inmate tried to blend in with the crowd and leave when visiting was over.
Anyways I know that over at the other prison I could wear dark blue, black or any other color. At this moment I dont happen to have any prison clothes that actually fit so I decided I will use the dye I have stashed in the laundry room and dye my jeans to an appropriate color. When I first tried the black the jeans actually turned out charcol gray. So I am now trying the dark blue, but starting to panic as time is running out.
I called the prison to make sure the dark blue will work and the lady that answers the phone there is always so nice. She said that she thinks the dark blue will work, but if not they will give me scrubs to put on over my jeans.
I know that at the other prison if you didnt have appropriate clothing then you were turned away no matter who you were or where you came from. I thought it was so nice that they are willing to help make a visit happen.
I hear so many stories about how some prisons are jerks and each time I have to deal with IDOC I count my blessings and truely feel lucky
