I went back to see by how far Prop 184 passed and it was 71.9% Yes Vote. IMO that's a landslide.
We gave them a run for the money and we converted alot of people's opinions to have this law reworked.
Maybe we tweak it more and continue to bring this to the polls. I personally believe that lessoning Arson and Burglary was the nail in our coffins.
One of the things I plan on doing is not only writing editors but also DA's because it is them that bring 3k's forward.

Yes it needs to be tweaked and brought back. Next time it'll win.

Does anyone have numbers on the vote in 1994 vs. this one?
I would love to see what the margain was on 184 and then again on 66!

It passed 71.9 in favor in 1994 so that would make it 28.1 opposed it.
in 2004, its like 47 for reform/53 against reform
I know alot more people voted now than in 1994 because this was one of the biggest turnouts since like 1960.

Can we bring this proposition back to the ballot next year for the Governor's election?

I wrote amend3strikes.org to volunteer
I decided to be part of the solution rather than just discussing this.
I'm hoping someone organizes a rally at the capital and everyone goes to it. I don't think we should sit down.......not now..not EVER!
