Can anyone tell me if they have gotten a call from Otisville in the last 24 hours. I haven theard form my husband since yesterday afternoon and i always hear from him 10 times a day. Im me if you can. Thank you so much

JRBM, I can't get phone calls because of my bill. But if I hear anything from my honey's sister I will let you know. He calls her during the week. You can try and call the facility and ask for the chaplin. He may be able to help you, or the reecptionist that answers the phone.

Thanks i did call the facility and htey said the phones were working. I was going to speak to the unit team but i thought i was too early to do such a thing...I am really worried and cant sit still i have my phonein my hand at all times hoping i dont miss his call. I dont know what the procedure is if he is in the box do you? If anyone know please write me back. Thanks so much. PS sorry for rambling....

Whenever I don't hear from my husband when I am supposed to, I call and speak to the guidance department and ask them to check his status and see if he is keep-locked or anything. Sometimes, though, the CO's can keep them locked up for a day or two without issuing a ticket at all, and so this wouldn't show up on the computer. If I were you I would just call to put your mind at ease that he is okay.

Thank you i am going to because i cant stand this i am going crazy. The onlything i can think of is that he needs to put money on his account for phone after 4;30PM but that also makes no sense because he can call collect. Oh my goodness! Will the team tell me if he is in the box?

I am not familiar with Otisville, but where my husband is at they will tell you if he is keep-locked or if any tickets are pending.

Thanks all for responding, he called me at 4:30 and i guess there was some sort of fight so they had them all locked down since last night. This site has been so helpful! Thanks all...

I'm happy for you that he called. I'm not at all surprised at the reason why he wasn't able to call before; that kind of thing happens. That's why I always call, just to put my mind at ease. I know that if he's not in keep-lock or injured, that it's usually just some prison BS.

I'm glad you heard from him. My experience with Otisville, is that the chaplin and the counselor have been helpful. I had an experience where he was in the infirmary, and since we are not married they only release limited information. But they made sure he got my message and I was aware of his condition and safety.

Thanks all! All seems to be back to normal. I dont know if any of you use the system that we do but i worry lots! So what he does is call me and just lets me hear his pre-recorded message so that i know all is ok. If i need to talk to him i can tell him a short brief message in the beginning of the call, i think he can only hear 15 seconds , so instead of me saying hello i give very short statements or just tell him i love him... I helps me worry less, but when i dont get those calls which is very rare i get extremely worried! But thanks for all you help !!!!
