Philemon 6 - I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. (NIV) Sometimes you really don't know the value of what you have until you share it. That's true of your connection to God, too. What is something you've learned by sharing your faith with someone else?

James 1:3 - For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. (NLT) You never really know what you stand for until someone or something tries to push you over. You never really know what you believe until it costs you something. Give God thanks for the tests in your life. How has your faith been tested? How did you do in the test?

Hebrews 12:1 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. (NLT)








Do you hear them? Maybe not. Perhaps you're too tired. Perhaps you're distracted by feelings of loneliness and defeat. Listen. There's a crowd cheering you on -- so don't give up. Who are the "fans" in your life who inspire you to finish the race?

Soldiers must focus on what their commanding officer orders. They might be involved with civilians, but their first priority is accomplishing the mission they've been assigned. Christians, too, have been given a mission: to make disciples and teach them to obey God. Is the mission your first priority, or are you too involved in civilian affairs?

Sometimes those closest to you try to keep you furthest from God. Maybe you are jealous of a loved one's close relationship with God. Try to include friends and family in your connection to Him. How have family or friends kept you from God, on purpose or by circumstance? How can you include them in your relationship with Him?

Life is about opening yourself up more to God. When you do this you do not get the glory, but you reflect the glory of Christ. What can you do to polish the mirror that is your life?

The Chinese character for the word "sin" is constructed by putting the words "four" and "wrong" together. There's a lot of pressure to have a "perfect" Christmas with great gifts, caroling, and family. Often that makes our actual Christmas a let-down. Don't know what to say to people about Jesus? Just tell them what you do -- like how you use your planner. And pray that your conversation will be "gracious." What does it mean to "live wisely" among non-Christians?

True love has very little to do with candles, flowers, and warm, fuzzy feelings. True love is tough. It hangs on. It lasts. What do you do when you start to feel bored with a relationship? What should you do?
