When Wayne was transferred from the county jail to Kilby in Alabama, I was worried about him and going crazy to know if he made it. He told me before he left it would be a couple of days before he could call. He left on a Thursday at about 11:30 am and by Friday morning I was a bundle of nerves. A friend of mine who is the secretary for police department called and talked to the chaplain at Kilby and told him my concerns. The chaplain went to where Wayne was, made sure he was okay, and called me back. He also gave me the information so I could write him. It was really nice of him to go out of his way, actually call back, and calm the anxieties of a frantic wife.

IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT GENERALLY CHAPLAINS ARE VERY HELPFUL AND COMPASSIONATE--ONE AT BCCI GETS RON CARDS TO SEND THE KIDS AND OCCASIONALLY STAPMS OR AN EXTRA PHONE CALL
