Hi everybody!

I just wanted to share this special moment of mine with you here..:D
Yesterday I got myself a plane-ticket to visit my sweetie in Arizona......

I'm extremely nervous, 'cause the only time I've been abroad ( I live in Sweden) is when I was in Greece on a vacation two years ago.. And then I had my friend with me.. Now I'm all by myself!

But hopefully it'll turn out just fine....:( I was wondering; the airport in Phoenix, how is it?:o

Hugs!!!

well Hanna you will love it! the weather is much cooler now. The airport is very busy w/lots of people! There will be airport employee's walking around to help. I think they ware bright yellow shirts w/name tag. Have a great time and welcome to AZ when you get here!

Hanna,
Have a great visit. I was nervous the first time I went quite a way from home by myself too. As a matter of fact I was in Greece. It will be ok and always remember to ask questions if you need answers. Enjoy your time here.

As someone who flies in often to that airport it is busy and stressful but it is fully equipted to handle all your needs....
you will be fine .. it is well marked and lots of porters to help you with all things
they have car rentals there and they have shuttle buses to them etc...
yes print out a map from your lodgings to the prison as it can come in handy when you are there.. I tend to print off maps for some of the things I want to do before I leave home..
it is a friendly town from a visitors perspective and just ask and someone will help... enjoy the visit
oh I have a cat that came from greece... look at all the greek connections lOl

Oh my!
So it is a busy and stressful airport huh? :( Well.. I have no other choice then to make it, do I? :faint:
Well, my sweetie has already made up things for me. His mother is coming to pick me up from the airprt, and when I'm going to see him, I'm going to share a ride with his friends girlfriend..
So that's great!
I'm going to Winslow to see him....

Everyone's saying nothing but nice things about Arizona! And that's good..
But what about the spiders?? Hahaha.. I have nightmares about them! Do you really see them as much as I'm imagining?

Hugs!!

I have never seen a spider while I was there soo they can not be that prevalent.. I have been in all the different seasons too.. you are having someone meet you at the airport so it will be easy not to fret....
You will have a great time .... enjoy ..

Arizona is beautiful. You will love it. The views are spectacular and there are many pretty cactus/desert flowers to look at. It was hard for me to get used to not seeing much grass. Everything is really nuetral in color. The past visits i have had there i never saw a spider or a scorpion. Most people have their houses and property sprayed to keep them away (my aunt does at least). They do hav ea lot of the little miniature gekos runnign around but those are cool. I cant wait to get back their in January. Have a great trip!

Hanna,

Welcome to our beautiful State of Arizona ~ You will quickly see why those of us that live here love it so much. You'll be arriving to the busiest city in our State, and then traveling north to a very pretty section of Arizona. Phoenix is in the "valley" and it is all desert done here. Winslow is up north in the Pines where the weather is cooler.

I'm not sure what type of weather you are leaving, but you are coming to a gorgeous season... day times are low 80s high 70s .. night time is low 50s high 40s. However, be aware that up north it is much cooler than down here "in the valley".

I love my State .. and believe we have all the luxury you could want from a state. Warm desert, cool pines, beautiful lakes.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a wonderful visit. ;)

Hanna:

I live in California, but Arizona is indeed beautiful. Please take the time, if you can, to see the Grand Canyon. You'll never ever forget it.

Let us know what happens, and what you see.

Thanks to the kindness of another PTO member I just returned from a visit, with the man who is now my fiance at Eyman SMU2 in Florence Arizona. I stayed in a very nice nieghborhood in Phoenix and very much enjoyed the visit. I of course love the man I went to see,and treasure every moment we spent together. But as well, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I was impressed by the beauty of the mountains and the sunrises and sunsets. I arrived early for a couple of visits and watched the sun wake the mountains near the unit. It is a scene that I will never forget and hope to enjoy again very soon.Of the states I have visited, Arizona has been one of those I have enjoyed most. Enjoy your visit and be sure to watch the sky.The vision will remain with you for a lifetime.

Well good for you Hanna. I am glad your finally making the trip. Just be careful!
Arizona is beautiful, I loved it when I was there. To bad for me Jesse turned out to be so NOT the one, and a fake.
I hope your luck is much better, not all inmates will say whatever you want to hear!!
