I would like some opinions on Prop 66. My boyfriend has been incarcerated for a year and a half for possesion of stolen property with 10 months to go. He was previously incarcerated for 4 years and this is his 2nd strike. The first 2 for possesion of stolen property and then another 2 within 13 hours for parole violation. The first 4 years was before I met him and we have been together for 6 years with him doing good. Now my neighbor that has stolen property from me and has dealt drugs which supplied my boyfriend has just received only 18 months for GTA and took his kids by gun point causing and Amber Alert. Having seen people go in and out of the prison system why would we want someone like my neighbor being released earlier. I would love for my boyfriend to get out earlier but we both know that knowing the next time will be his 3rd strike he will be less likely to screw up again. Vote yes and my boyfriend does his full sentence, Vote no and he gets out early but so does my neighbor and a whole bunch of other people I don't know. Please opinions appreciated.

If your neighbor held his kids at gunpoint, he would not be released -- Prop 66 affects nonviolent offenders only.

Your neighbor has a DRUG PROBLEM which caused his bizarre behavior. HE NEEDS HELP with this DRUG PROBLEM like your Boyfriend. Most of the prisons are full of drug addicts. Cleaning them up might help, but locking them up for LIFE do to their diease is as CRAZY as your Neighbor!
