I was just wondering if anyone has heard about any info on the new prison that is going to be opening next year in California. So far all I know is that it is going to be in Delano and it will be a leval III or IV. Any info please let me know. My man says he might get transfured there once it is open. I am really conserned cuz I herd that when a prison first opens all HELL brakes loose with prisoners and riots happen alot. Is that true or are the rumors just that rumors.

That is true, mostly with level IVs. They don't just fill the prison with inmates from Reception. So what they do is they will get inmates from prisons all over the state to help those prisons with their overcrowding. Now do you think those prisons are going to send the inmates that program? No. They are going to get rid of their troublemakers first. So the new prison ends up with more than it's share of trouble.

I have opened a Level IV yard in a brand new prison when I was an officer and it was really bad for a year or two before it settled down.

I haven't heard when Delano II will open but I heard it will be mostly level IVs.

will it have a sensitive needs yard?

I just hope they transfer my brother, from svsp to delano. that way I just have to drive 4 hours from san diego.
