I know that Access Catalog Company in St. Louis, Mo. is the vendor for special orders, and I have some confusion about ordering. I received an order form from my son that is a generic copy from the catalog itself. I called to order the items, and was told by the clerk that the only acceptable form is different from this one, and must be signed by the "package officer's approval". I wrote to my son and gave him this info. He sent the same order form again, so I assume that this is what they issue at Wasco. Help. Anyone know from experience?

Also, for quarterly packages, he sent a form from D&D Enterprises in Visalia, Ca. Again, nothing stamped and authorized by any approving officer. Is this going to fly?

He is also asking for thermal garments for the winter. I have read some postings that suggest our loved ones will no longer be allowed personal clothing beginning this November. I do understand that institutions vary within the CDC, according to the warden, but does anyone know if this rumor is effective for all prisons in Cali? Thanks for the feedback. I am going to make a second post for this issue. Tam

When my boyfriends Mom ordered his quarterly package he had to have the slip signed by an officer.
I'm not sure about the thermals we ordered him some a few months ago and they got in ok but don't know if they are still accepting them.I think they are but am not positive

P.S. This was at Pelican Bay not Wasco btw

Thanks for your reply, but I was seeking something more specific to my question. Tam

Sorry I couldn't be more specific but we haven't used Acess and I was going based on past packages sent to a differnt Ca. prison. Personally I was under the impression all packages had to have the slip signed by the officer but I could be wrong
Hopefully someone who has the proper answers you want will be along to post.

At Lancaster when your order threw Access you do not need the special purchase package form. This is both for the quarterly package and the special order package. I would call the mailroom at Wasco just to make sure.
