Hi. Today I was finally sentenced to 42 months. The Judge is requesting my choice of Carwell, Tx. Keeping my fingers crossed. And thanks to PTO and all the info I have learned , I am not scared. This is something I must do for what I did. I am suposed to report to my designated facility on November 16. That is three weeks. I did think it would take longer for the system, but I guess not. All the same, I want to get on with it. Thanks PTO for the help and comfort your site has given me. I have recommended to my daughters that they check it out so thier fears can be relieved also.

Dear DJC-
Considering you have such a positive attitude, I am sure you will be just fine and come out of your experience by learning something. I am hoping for the same!
Best of luck!

Please do make sure your daughters know they are more them welcomed! We would love to have them as we all understand!
DJC...even thought there is no way to be ready 100%, you sound like you are well on your way to a successful start! And...you have to "get on with it", to get over it!
May you find all the information you'll need to have a smooth transition over the next 3 weeks! Remember you are never alone!

Good Luck DJC,
My daughter will be replacing me also on PTO when I am to do my time.
Just curious did you request a longer time before you were told to surrender, I had been told a lawyer could ask for up to 90 days till self surrender?
I met some of the ladies going to Carswell whilst I was hanging at Oklahoma Transfer, they all seemed cool and I am sure your time will be over before you know it!

dctx48 - I wholeheartedly commend you for straight up taking responsibility. I saw no hint of blaming anyone else, etc., which means you are going to grow from this and you will prevail. You already have such a headstart. A lot of people have never gotten to the point you are when they're out on parole! Keep in mind, any new situation can have curve balls you didn't think about. i.e. I thought I was 100% prepared for what having a baby 24/7 would be like - lol - I ran home to Mom the 2nd week! But seriously, I know there will be things that come up, but my point is, with your attitude you will be able to handle whatever comes your way, even if it is something you hadn't thought of. I truly believe you are blessed to have the strength, knowledge and attitude you have. Knowledge is power and it will help you feel more empowered in an otherwise "powerless" situation. You're on the right track and I'm sure your attitude and straightforward approach has had a positive effect on your children. God bless you!

Just want to second that!
I hope that it all goes as well as it can under the circumstances and that once it is all over you never have to be incarcarated again.
Your attitude is great!
It is wonderful to have PTO to help and support you.
Good luck and keep strong and positive and remember you are bound to have som "bad" days.
