Robert received notification today from the warden of the prison camp he was terminated from. It was dated November 19th, and it sayed that due to his infraction, his account will be partially frozen for the next six months-meaning, he can only use $9 a month.
Ok, he JUST got this? It was sent to his building when he was still at Camp Branch, so does that mean that the warden didn't know they were terminating him? lol
He has been using his funds to buy from commissary at this new prison since November! So, I asked him if this prison knew about it, and he didn't think so. I told him that he better tell them cuz they will probably find out about it in 5 months or so, and he would get another act of corruption ticket. "We are writing to inform you that since you did not tell us we were supposed to freeze your account, you have corrupted us, as a prison, once again". LOL
So, what are your thoughts? Will this prison freeze his account? Or will they let it go cuz he has already been there for 2 months, and the warden of Camp Branch is an idiot? LOL
What do you think? Will he get his TV or not? :)

I know nothing about Michigan, but Wayne got a citation just days before he was moved from the last facility to the present one. It was stupid, but he signed the paperwork. While waiting for the warden's signature, he was moved. So far (3 months later) that citation hasn't found its way to him. With our luck, it'll show up on the day he's supposed to come home. :( I have learned to just not look a gift horse in the mouth, cause when dealing with the DOC, that gift horse can quickly turn into a horse's ass.

You got that right girl! I just know that if they don't do anything now, they will do something even WORSE when he's got one foot on the bus coming home. That's just the way they work ya know? Anything to take you back down. *sigh* What are ya gonna do?

i think they will eventually find out and freeze his account-it's kind of a pay now or pay later deal- the thing I don't know is if he would get into further problem for not letting them know if he had already been informed in writing about it

Jeni,

I don't believe he has anything to worry about....just me, but I know Bill has told me that when other guys have gotten written up and then they're transferred nothing happens to them....like if they get top lock or whatever.....they end up not geting it at the new facility...I wouldn't worry.....Hang in there!

Huh? I haven't heard of this one before! What will they come up with next? I wouldn't say anything; let them figure it out for themselves if they have time. I would never give them too much information. I also don't think it's Robert's responsibility to inform them of stuff like this. It's the Camp's.

Jeni,

I ask my hubby about this today....he says don't worry about it. The restriction shouldn't follow him AND its the prisons responsibility to make sure that they have all their information right.

I agree with Mrs D. I certainly dont think he should say anything at all. He should just go about his business and I bet he wont hear about it again. Cross my fingers for yah both cause a TV sure is a great thing to have in there.

I think that all will be ok cuz nothing has happened, and i don't think it will now. (knock on wood) He has been in Adrian for over 3 months now, so I think it's been WAY too long to restrict his account now. Thanks all! :)

Oh Witchlin he has it!!! He actually got it pretty quickly after ordering it! So, he spends a lot of time in his "cube" watching it, staying out of trouble. That makes me feel alot better!!! :)

Yeah it was the same for James when he got his, and I was very relieved. Just even to know what is going on in the outside world and the music and the comedy can help them to forget where they are and pass lots of time. Well Im glad to hear that he got it.
