My guy lost his minimum status and is going to Fox Lake in the next couple of weeks. Just wondering what it is like there now. We've been there before, but it's been a few years. Are they still allowing inmates to smoke? What are visiting hours/days there now? Just general impressions.

Yes, I do believe they can still smoke. Visiting hours are until 8:45 pm during the week and you are allowed 3 hours twice a week. Weekends and Holidays are from I think 8:00-3:00 and are 2 hours. You can only go one weekend day not both. So you can go up there a total of 3 times a week...once on the weekend and twice during the week. It doesn't seem too bad there from what my guy says. They can workout for almost 2 hours at a time.
