Does anyone know if there is something going on at Avenal. Its been 2 weeks now and I have not heard from my Fiance. I am beginning to worry see he always writes and this is not like him, so if anyone has any information I would greatly appriciate it.

My baby just got transferred to Avenal last week. I got a phone call telling me he was there, but didn't mention anything going on. I got a letter from him today also. Hopefully you will hear from him soon, I'm sure everything is fine. Sometimes the mail takes time, I know I have been out of my mind sometimes and then all of a sudden "you've got mail". I'm sure you'l hear something soon.

I know they were on lock down Oct. 16-19 on 1 yard (SAP) and mail is always slow there.

They are running about 2 weeks behind in the mail on letters BUT if you send a card without a letter and only write on the inside of it - they tend to get those quicker. My Man said again last nite that he was getting like 3-4 days worth of mail from me at a time. Prior he was getting one or two a day from me but they are slower now and he also told me with the holidays coming up don't get worried it will get worse during that time also.

Hope you hear from him soon. I worry also but I have never gone 2 weeks without anything either I worry when it is 3 days due to the fact we write each other EVERY day even if it is a short note.

I do belive that they are doing the 35% in prisons. If I can be of any more help to you just let me know.

some inmates do ALL their time, others are given like 85%, 50% but I've not heard of 35% in CA although I could be wrong.
we were sentenced to 27 years and our earliest release is only 4 years sooner than the full amount. this is with absolultely NO 115's or any other trouble.

I am pretty sure that its only if they are able to go to fire camp they get 35%..check in the "CDC what you need to know" section, I recall seeing that topic there.

Paul is also at Avenal and I just went through this not to long ago. They lost 2 of his letters and I did'nt hear from him for 3 weeks because of that. I STILL havent received them.
