The United States Sentnecing Commission is contmplating significantly changing the USSG's with regard to "cybercrime." The USSC is in the comment phase of their process and is accepting comments from the general public. Please take a look at their proposed changes at www.ussc.gov. Like many things the government does, there are always unintended consequences. You know, like life for stealing a jar of peanut butter. I suggest we all take al ook and comment as necessary.

In the past year there have been several Supreme Court decisions handed down which have made the Guidelines "Advisory" rather than "Mandatory" as in years past. While in recent months we ave seen a little less strictness in sentencing... for the most part these Supreme Court decisions have not had a major impact on sentencing overall. Please visit WWW.Fedcure.org (http://www.Fedcure.org)for more information on the Fed Legal System and what the current trends and issues are.
