View Full Version : Is Virginia PTO very supportive?
Annette B. 10-21-2004, 08:19 PM Is there a reason I do not know why it seems not to much is said? I hope I am not a bother to no one. This is all new to me. This seems to be the only support I have. It is all good though. I simply do not know what to do. Ain't that a shame 38 yrs old and codependent on PTO. lol
thanks,
Annette :D

Well my friend - we (PTO Staff) are in the process of trying to figure out a way to get membership up in some of our slower states, Virginia being one of them. If you have any suggestions on how we can do that, PLEASE feel free to PM me or post them here. Right now apparently we just don't have enough people from Virginia as members, or they are all in the Federal forum or others. You are not alone, I do read all your posts, as do many others. If you ever need anything, please PM me or mlk, the other Forum Leader!
Stay Strong!
tinaj 10-22-2004, 12:17 AM your never a bother abeankenship so don't feel that way.
Annette B. 10-22-2004, 07:26 AM Thank you. I am setting here like a mad scientist not knowing nothing. I am just a bit shakey, this is all new for me. I am honest and factful, I guess I have listened to to many people out in this state about there issues and they have frightened me. It is like you say where you are going(that is all that needs to be said) and family and friends are running away, gone. All I have now is this pc cause they do not need to know everything else. Take care.
tinaj 10-22-2004, 08:30 AM you too and keep the faith. If you every need to talk feel free and I will do the same.
forever 10-22-2004, 08:35 AM Va is different and i honestly would suggest not reading other states info because it can be very confusing - not to mention many states have better laws and procedures and that is frustrating as well.
Hang in there - you're gonna be just fine.
chris's mom 10-22-2004, 03:48 PM When I first joined pto the va forum was pretty active. I learned so much about the system here and was thankful to every one for all their advice but the members have stopped comeing here. I dont understand what happened I wish I did and knew how to make it better again.I'm willin to try and help any one that needs me and would be glad to help make it what it used to me.
Do you think it is possiable that the old members made friends here and are keepin to themselves? I really would like to know.
Annette B. 10-22-2004, 07:43 PM I do not know about Virginia. I am this age and wonder were support of a friend or a hand up is. Everyday of my life it seems to be a harder world. If everyone just pulled together as one. Everyone in this whole USA from White House down to minority. God put us all here. One Nation under God. In God We Trust. I have a firm belief in God carrying each one of us through everything. This world, country, state would be a much better place if people just got along and helped one another. :banghead:
SerenitysDancer 10-23-2004, 06:23 AM I am not in VA nor have any connections to VA, but one thought may be some members of VA have their loved ones in another state, therefore they spend the majority of their time in those forums. I know that is the case with me, if you ever need to holla, do so anytime.
FriscoLady 10-25-2004, 05:43 AM Annette,
I wanted you to know that I am in Virginia and have done time in Virginia, as well as, my niece is currently in Fluvanna.
I have to admit I do not spend much time in the Virginia forum, for I am generally all over the board, but if you ever need anything, just yell, I will be glad to help as I can.
Stay Strong,
Patti

Annette B. 01-20-2005, 10:30 AM Thank you all. I understand a little more now than when I first posted this. And still know nothing. When it is time I guess I will know. You all have been a great help. You will never know. And I will never know til they decide..
Annette B. 01-26-2005, 05:02 AM Group Hugs. awwww :-) Everyone have a good day.
Mrs Punky 01-26-2005, 07:10 AM I am fairly new to PTO as well, but I have learned more here than any law class could have taught me. PROPS to all of you especially Nettie!!!!
Bubbles7598 01-26-2005, 08:40 AM hi annette! like u i was wondering why the VA forum is slow....i go in it everyday to check any new info but at times its always the same thing. I wish this forum was more upbeat and I am wrecking my brain to figure out how to do it. I have posted a few times in here. Some people resonded some didnt. Who knows, with u, me , and the others maybe we can all pull together and make it active once again. I also have become dependent on PTO and it kills me that on monday i wont be able to access it as much cuz finally i got a break down here. I got a job!!!!:D I moved down here in Sept n have been serching for months and finally on monday i got a job offer. Thank God. I moved here from NY to be closer to Jason. Since then I married him and me n our daughter see him every weekend. Now that i got a job I am so relieved. I will be on at nite though. Its better than nothing!:) I bet both my parents n his parents r relieved too cuz now they can breathe a sigh of relief and actually have money in their pockets! I wouldnt know what i would do with out all of them! Anyway just thought I give u a lil info on me!
