Hi Lisa, My husband is at Hamilton A&I, we visit again on the 31st. It's a laid back facility, no white clothing...just like most of the other places. They don't search the women, just a metal detector wand up and down your body. The visits are going to be 9:oo until 1:00 starting the 31st. The wait is not too bad...I usually get there about 9:15 and don't have to wait in line. There are a few that get there before 8:00 to start lining up. Visiting area is pretty small, inside and outside. We usually take $30 in change for vending machines. We don't spend that much but take it anyways. You can take 1 pack of cigarettes and a book of matches if you or family smokes. They don't have machines for that out there. If I can be of help, let me know and enjoy your visit!

Angel....my husband just asked for a transfer through his counselor or something and it was approved and it took around 5 months or so to get moved and they moved him to where he wanted which was great so good luck in your husbands transfer!!! pj1965....sounds like its an ok place kinda like the others I guess so maybe he will be happy there for at least a year until he gets a parole date....thanks for the info about visits and it will be a great visit...good luck to you!!! thanks selena....I knew you said you lived up that way somewhere.....I have waited a long time for this visit so hopefully it will be a good one....my husband called today and is sorta stressing me wanting money but i dont have money to send and am struggling just to keep bills paid myself so we didnt have too good of a conversation which is sad but he just doesnt understand the money situation....I know how hard it is for him to not have things he needs but I am the only one in his family who helps him and I cant do that right now and that sucks but he will just have to survive as I am and i think he should understand this better than what he does but we will see....i sure dont need the stress right now either....anyhow thanks for your info selena and maybe I will see you sometime!!!! Lisa!

Mike was ok'd for a transfer last January, it still hasn't come through, we have been waiting for him to transfer all this time. It has been eight years since we have seen each other. Best of luck and please enjoy your visit for those of us that can't.

Thanks Sue its great to hear from you again and I hope things are going great for you and Lewis! I took the kids and visited my husband on Sunday and it was the first time the kids have seen him in way over a year and around a year for me and it was a great visit....that place seems like a much better place than he was at and he seems more happy there so I am happy for him....the only hard part was my 5 year old daughter cried when we left and cried half way home...she misses her dad so much it hurts so much for us all but I told her dad would come home as soon as he could so she is better now....anyhow thanks for writing and take care you both!!!! Lisa!!

Glad ya'll had a great visit, Lisa!!! I know it must be hard on the kids though...I feel so bad for all the children I see when I go see Kevin. It's hard enough of us to let them go at the end of a visit...I can only imagine what the children are feeling. :( It just breaks my heart.

Thanks Selena...hope things get to going better for you and your man also...I have been reading your posts and looks like they are getting some better for you both....thats the first time I have took my kids because he was so far away and also because I didnt think they were big enough to deal with a place like Bullock and all you had to go through to visit there...here it was just a wave of the wand and thats it so it wasnt too traumatizing for them....I just hope my husband really realizes what pain he has caused the kids also and really means it when he says he's not gonna mess with the drugs and alcohol anymore and comes home and is a good dad and a good husband this time around....good luck Selena!!!! Lisa!!!
