Hi Tami M.

Welcome to PTO. I too am familiar with Centinela, Visiting, and the local surroundings. If you are really want to stay at an RV park, there are two of them located within five (5) miles of the prison (East). They both have complete hook-ups, clean restrooms and swimming pools. Both parks are accessible from the Drew Street off ramp from the 8 Fwy. Since I do not know where you are traveling from, I am guessing you are taking the 8 Fwy east from the San Diego area. The Drew off ramp is after the Dunaway off ramp, again traveling east on the 8. If you turn right you will be within 1 mile of Rio Bend RV, which also has a nice 8 hole golf course. If you turn left for 1 mile you will find Sun Beam RV park, which also has a small lake for wave runners and jet skis. Both parks are clean and quiet. Sorry, I do not have the telephone numbers, but I'm sure you can get the info on the net yellow pages.

From either park, if you travel 1/2 mile north on Drew, there is a small market/gas station. The road is called Evan-Hughes. You would turn left on Evan-Hughes for about 5 miles to get to the Prison access road, which is Brown Road. The prison has Friends Outside that can help, and the current Visiting Room Lieutenant is J. Garcia, who is nomally friendly and helpful.

Hope this helps, and you have a nice visit with your loved one.

Congratulations Tami M.

Now, you hang on to him out there, life isn't easy and our children (regardless of their age) need us and our help. Again, happy to hear of your early Christmas gift.
