I have a penpal at Florence who has asked for my help. He feels he has been treated unjustly and his paperwork and requests get conveniently lost. He is in a Max detention center (initially for gang protection) and should have gone to a Minimum last Dec. He wants me to get his records and I don't know how to do that. Any suggestions on how to help?

When MyGuy was having issues with paperwork being conviently lost, I spoke to his counselor and then ended up calling the Asst Warden for his unit.

After I spoke directly with the AW things started happening. Trust me the COs on the block don't want to be reported to the AWs but if you have to ... you have to .... the #1 thing that is important is that they know there is someone on the outside pulling for the inmate & watching what is going on.

I'd call the AW on his behalf and just state what you said here .... he understood he was up for a transfer almost a year ago, and somehow the paperwork keeps getting lost and you're inquiring on his behalf.

Whenever I have a problem with anything at the prisons, I call the governors office, they call the head hancho over all the prisons in florence and then it gets done. I had to do that to get them darn people to give my fiancee the right meds he needs for his mental illness.
